Let me say up front, "Creating Textures in Photoshop" is not just for flowers!

Using my background creation technique along with my special “background” brushes, you can create background textures that hide unsightly backgrounds, create a background with soft focus, or simply emphasize the vision you had for your photograph when you captured it!

This technique is straightforward, fun, and can be accomplished using a mouse or a Wacom Tablet. But best of all, creating an image-specific texture will add an even higher level of excellence to your finished photograph.

In this Course you will learn:

  1. How to create a texture from any digital image, no matter what the subject
  2. How to use my special background brushes to refine or enhance your texture creation
  3. How to quickly and easily change the color of your background textures to create alternate versions, including true black and white
  4. How to colorize the black and white textures that you create
  5. How to create a texture in place that surrounds your subject and adds softness to the entire image
  6. How to use your texture to impart atmospheric changes in landscape images
  7. How to add faux canvas, watercolor, or sandstone finishes to your background using the digital papers that are included with your purchase

Requirements: You must be comfortable with using Layers, Masks, Blend Modes, Adjustment Layers, and creating seamless cutouts of your flower in Photoshop. Additionally, you will want to be comfortable using either Lightroom or Adobe Camera Raw to perfect the color and exposure of your image before adding a background texture. If your skills fall short of these requirements, I highly recommend purchasing my “Perfection” Series Bundle to become adept at all these requirements first before moving on to this Series.

Below you can preview some of the images I will turn into background textures in this Series but this is only the beginning of what is possible. Finishing your flower images in Photoshop is an opportunity to share your vision with everyone that views your flower portraits. In fact, perfecting and enhancing your flower image sets you apart from all the other floral photographers that do not finish their images. So, why not break into the realm of creating extraordinary images by learning to create your own flower-specific background textures?

Hi, I’m Rosie Lalonde

For years I have tried to find a solution for creating fresh, one-of-a-kind background textures for my flowers, animal portraits, landscapes, and more. There are many wonderful companies out there that create perfectly lovely background textures so why would I want to make my own?

The answer is as simple as this …. I want my images to have a soft background that compliments the subject, making the entire image a feast for the eyes and the soul.
